“The last few years we bit off more than we could chew. We've had a buzz saw of a schedule. Playing three or four big teams takes a toll on a team. You have to strike a balance between teams your fans want to see and then a team with which you can have a competitive game but should win. We need to build.”
“Looking at our schedule the last couple of years, I thought we had over scheduled. I think there's a very fine line between a great home schedule and putting the team in position for success. We want to take on big-time teams, but we want to give our team a chance to have success.”
“I'm working with Randy right now. Randy and I have had a lot of talks in the last six months. We tried very hard, but there's some things we're trying to work out.”
“He just has a wealth of knowledge that no one else on the staff has. I don't think we're as strong without him. He would have been difficult to replace. I'm just grateful we didn't have to do that.”
“I'm really happy because it's the first time out when penalties count and we're above the penalty standard in every sport. I'm happy with the APR. In the previous report two semesters ago, it was kind of mystical about what it all meant but it gave us a goal to shoot for and told us where we were.”
