“It's pretty obvious that we lacked offensive punch last season. Even more than pitching, part of the lure of the game is in batting. My ideal is to have a more balanced team. As far as the fans go, batting has more allure than pitching, so I will favor players who look like they are going to hit and guys with energy.”
